A Happy Place !!

Highlighted Animals
See all the animals!
Zoe is about 2 years old as of January, 2014 and was rescued from a high kill shelter. She has been with us for one year now.  She loves people of all ages and sizes and is very social. We cannot say enough how loving she is with people. She has an active and playful personality. Her whole body curls and wags when she sees a new person.  She gets along with dogs her size or larger. Zoe has had male and female room mates here at the rescue. She does like small dogs, more about Zoe
Rambo will be 4 years old December, 2013.  He came to us in 2011 because his previous owners all passed away in the same year.  His boy was put into foster care until he moved in with a relative.  At last contact, he did not have a place for him.  So, this sweet kitty is looking for another family to call his own.  This cat is social, loving boy that jumps into our cars in the morning to say hello.  He is also gentle and would do well with children.  He gets more about Rambo
We believe Lilybeth is about 3 years old as of 08-2013.  She was rescued from a high kill shelter with 4 puppies in tow.  She was a great mom and has a love of people.  She gets along great with other dogs and walks on a leash. Lilybeth is a loving girl with a zest for life. She weighs about 40 pounds so, she is not a large girl.  She is a happy girl that would love a family.  She will be spayed and current on shots. Lilybeth does have heartworms and is more about Lilybeth
We believe Gary is about 2 years old as of 05-2013.  He was rescued from a high kill shelter.  He was very skinny when he arrived at the shelter, but that tail was still wagging.  Gary has a great temperament and gets along well with other dogs.  Gary also walks well on a leash.  He would be a great addition to any type of active family as he is a very social boy with people.  Come visit this boy and you are sure to fall in love.  He is neutered, more about Gary
This sweet boy is a kind, loving and affectionate…and he loves treats!! He is a special boy looking for a special home. Skipper has some confidence and trust issues, but once he gets to know you, his true charm shines through. We have spent lots of time working with him and he has made amazing strides. Skipper prefers women to men. We believe he would thrive in a quiet home environment, with lots of love and lots of patience. He is neutered, current on shots and heartworm more about Skipper

Many people are appalled that so many animals are euthanized daily at Animal Control. Meanwhile, they do nothing to support the rescues that save these pets. We are the ones saving them, and we get no Federal Funding, and the competition for grants makes them almost impossible to get. Daily, we receive upwards of 50 calls with pets needing rescue.  We have over a 100 pets in our care at any given time, and we cannot continue to save the lives we do without donations.  We have been saving lives and impacting the lives of homeless pets in our community for 13 years now and have adopted over 5000 pets to great homes. These are pets that would not have had a happy ending without us.  We cannot continue to do this without your support.  If anyone knows of any foundations or emergency funding that could help us, please feel free to contact us.  If we do not receive help, we will be left with no alternatives and be forced to close our doors. This is a decision that we don't want to make and are fighting to prevent. For those of you who have helped and continue your unwavering support of our work over the years, words cannot express how grateful and appreciative we are for this support.  It is only with your support that we have been able to continue our mission and save thousands of lives.

Please use the donate button on our page or go to the following link for our fundraising campaign:

We are also in desperate need of volunteers for the following: help cleaning, organizing some areas, yard work, walking pets, brushing dogs and cats, office work, fundraising, handing out brochures and some excel work. Call 803-628-5084 or email for more information.

Our current urgent needs list includes:

Medications, donations for spay/neuters, bleach, paper towels, laundry soap, Pinesol, rawhide chews, copy paper, contract strength garbage bags, dry kitten chow, puppy food.  Donations of gently used or new items for fundraising sales.  We can provide a receipt for your taxes.

Old rugs make great resting spots for our cats & kittens, too!
