  Leo
Hello, my name is Leo!  My birthday is 6/18/22. I am an  English Pointer. I came to Richardson rescue because my owner died and there was no one to take care of me and my siblings. He has a nice temperament and we have noticed no aggressive issues. Being a hunting dog, he is a bit shy as he spent his time mostly outside and will need a patient family to bring him out of his shell. He is doing great with leash walking. A quiet home at first with room for him to run and explore woul...read more about Leo

Meet Louie! This almost 2 year old ( DOB 7/18/2022) is an English Pointer. His previous owner passed away and there was no one to care for him and his siblings. Being a hunting dog, he has spent his time outside and will need a patient home to break him out of his shell as he is a bit shy. He has a good temperament and we have noticed no aggressive issues. He would do best at first with a patient, quiet home where he has room to run and explore in a fenced yard. He is doing great with leash walk...read more about Louie
  Silas
Silas was born here on 5-7-24 and is another baby that hasn't had a visit or a chance at a "furever" family up to this point. This guy is very lovable and totally enjoys playing fetch and only weighs in at around 35 pounds so, he will not be a large boy. He is great with other dogs but does have high play energy and another dog in the home would need to match. However, he is submissive with other dogs if it comes to that. Silas is a puppy and will need all the training that comes a...read more about Silas

Many people are appalled that so many animals are euthanized daily at Animal Control. Meanwhile, they do nothing to support the rescues that save these pets. We are the ones saving them, and we get no Federal Funding, and the competition for grants makes them almost impossible to get. Daily, we receive upwards of 30 calls and emails with pets needing rescue.  We have over a 100 pets in our care at any given time, and we cannot continue to save the lives we do without donations.  We have been saving lives and impacting the lives of homeless pets in our community for 15 years now and have adopted over 6500 pets to great homes. These are pets that would not have had a happy ending without us.  We cannot continue to do this without your support.  For those of you who have helped and continue your unwavering support of our work over the years, words cannot express how grateful and appreciative we are for this support.  It is only with your support that we have been able to continue our mission and save thousands of lives.

We are also in desperate need of volunteers for the following: help cleaning, organizing some areas, yard work, walking pets, brushing dogs and cats, office work, fundraising, grooming, handing out brochures and some excel work. Call 803-628-5084 or email Richardosnrescue@gmail.com for more information.

Our current urgent needs list includes:

Medications, donations for spay/neuter,cleaners, bleach, papertowels and newspapers. We can provide a receipt for your taxes.
