If you are interested in visiting or adopting, please submit our application at RichardsonRescue.org. All visits require an approved application and are by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Banjo is around 3 years old as of June, 2020 and currently weighs 22 pounds. This boy has an awesome temperament with people just like a Beagle should. He can be a bit shy about coming to you at times but he was abandoned and once he trusts you, it's all good. We don't know if he has been around children, but he has a such a great temperament that we don't think it will be a problem. He is also great with other dogs but we don't know about cats and have no way to test him here at the rescue. We are working on crate training here at the rescue which needs to be continued in his new home for house training. He is vocal sometimes but not always and is the quietest of the trio of Beagles here. However, he would not be suitable for apartment life and will need a fenced yard to run in as Beagles get distracted and will wander off. They can't help it. LOL. This is an active guy that is in the habit of the running the woods to hunt. We think this boy would do great with most any type of active family. Banjo is heartworm negative and will be current on all medical (neuter, shots, deworm, microchip, heartworm and flea prevention.
