If you are interested in visiting or adopting, please submit our application at RichardsonRescue.org. Rainn does not qualify for our Senior for Seniors Program. All visits require an approved application and are by APPOINTMENT ONLY. 

Rainn is a little over a year old as of September, 2021 and what a great boy. He loves people once he gets over the usual Aussie shyness of strangers.  He has not been around children, and they do tend to make him a bit nervous so, an adult home would be best for him. Once he knows you, he is all about playing and cuddles.  He is leash trained, house and crate trained. He knows the commands sit, stay, lay down and leave it. He is okay with some dogs, but not others but the rescue does make him nervous. He tends to get way excited with them and they don't know how to take it. We think he would be best as an only dog first until he bonds with his new family. He is an energetic breed and will need an active person with a fenced yard so that he can get his run and play time in. We will not adopt this boy to apartment life, a rental or a home without a fenced yard. He is high energy and needs to get his zoomies out. This boy will make someone an awesome companion as he has a great temperament. We will prefer owners with Aussie experience as he is not for the first time dog owner.  Rainn is neutered, heartworm negative and current on shots, heartworm and flea prevention.
