Kitties and Big dogs need love too !!!!!! 

We believe Gerty is about 3 years old and sweet as pie.  She loves people of all sizes and shapes.  We believe she would do well with a family of any type with or without children.  She appears to be more of a couch potato than an active girl.  But, we are sure she would still love a nice walk with her human.  Gerty does walk well on a leash. American Bulldogs are typically confident, social, and active dogs that are at ease with their families. They bond strongly with their owners.  American Bulldogs generally live from 10–16 years, and tend to be strong, physically active, and often healthy.

Gerty has tested positive for heartworms.  Not her fault at all, she just had a very irresponsible owner.  We have started her on the slow kill method which is a lower cost option that we have found to work well over the years.  Feel free to research this method on the internet the link is: http://healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2011/11/22/cheaper-safer-therapy-for-heartworm.aspx, or we will be glad to talk with you about it.  Gerty is a healthy girl in every other way and this sweet gal deserves the best home we can give her.
