We believe Daisy Kay is about 4 years old as of December, 2014 and weighs about 23 pounds. This girl has a sweet temperament and gets along great with the other dogs here. She is house and crate trained and was around children over 5 in her previous foster home with no problems. She also ignores cats and LOVES squeaky toys. She can get a little possessive of her food around other dogs, but not people. You just need to feed her separate from other dogs. Other than that, she has no issues with other dogs. We also have not noticed that she howls or barks a lot. She can be a little shy at first about coming right to you, but she is a smart girl that learns quickly. She should do well with an active family. Daisy is spayed, is heartworm negative and current on shots, heartworm and flea prevention. Puggles are active and energetic. They need daily exercise and will enjoy a couple of 15-minute walks or play times. Puggles are smart, but they can be stubborn. Train them with positive reinforcement techniques, such as food rewards, praise, and play.Puggles are people-lovers and should live indoors with the family, not outside. So long as they're indoor dogs and get enough exercise, they can adapt to any living situation, including apartments — although they can bark a lot. Some even have a tendency to howl, a trait they inherit from their Beagle parent. If you are interested in adopting, please submit an application at www.richardsonrescue.org.
