Kitties and Big dogs need love too !!!!!! 

Emmy is about 7 years old as of March, 2015.  She came to us because her family moved, had a new baby and guess who had to go?  The first day this sweetie came in, she was giving us kisses.  This is sweet and affectionate little dog that gets along great with other dogs.  She is house trained and likes to sleep in a crate at night. In her new home, she will need to be crated until she learns her new routine. She had been around children and cats with no problems. However, in a new environment, kids seem to make her nervous. She loves to go for walks and to be in your lap.  She also loves treats and toys.  At bath time, she will sit and stay with no problems.  She tends to warm up quicker to women than men. She can become protective of her human but, with her good temperament, we think once she adjusts to her new home and routine this should ease up.  So, a quiet environment at first would work best for her. Or, a home with a single female or females.  She is spayed, heartworm tested negative and current on shots, heartworm and flea prevention.
