Chubby

He has settled into life very well and adapted to a routine quickly. Teddy is very smart, already sitting on command most of the time, quick to stop an undesirable behavior when told, and really learning the words we use every day. He is very people-oriented AND treat-oriented, which makes for a great combination when it comes to training. I love that he's actually happier getting love and praise for a good deed than getting treats.

Teddy was instantly fascinated and in love with George, the cat and they've worked out a silly kind of play that usually involves George lying on the floor while Teddy dances around him like a baby goat, barking.  They do also play chase around the house and poor Teddy is lost and sad when George decides to "hide" up high. Every night, one of my rituals for George has been to throw some treats for him that he likes to catch in mid-air. It didn't take Teddy long to catch on to the game and now when it's that time of night, Teddy gets some treats, too.

Teddy absolutely LOVES running around the back yard. He likes to jump over things and is getting to be pretty agile. I think getting some back yard agility equipment and working with him on that would be good for everyone.

So, if you hadn't figured it out, we adore him. He's a great fit and everyone loves him.

Camilla

Roxy (Camilla) is one year old today! Who rescued who? She is the craziest, friendliest , sweetest dog ever. When we rescued her she rescued us!

Chewy II

Richardson Rescue rocks! We love our little Chewy so much (adopted last July). He rules the roost and bosses around his big brother, an Aussie!

Cookie

We were blessed to adopt this sweet girl Cookie, now Lucy, just yesterday. She is timid but already starting to come around and is making progress on her leash. She found her toys, chew bone, and comfy bed. There is no shortage of love for this girl in our home. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to make her a part of our family!

Cosmo

Hello there! Hope you had a wonderful holiday. Just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that Cosmo is doing great. He has adapted faster than expected and I was able to crate train him in 2 days - he is smart for sure! He loves his new memory foam bed which he owned the minute he walked in the house for the first time.

Two of his favorite toys are the Fooble puzzle and the classic Kong (or anything that has to do with food/treats really). He has also destroyed several squeaky toys by throwing them in the air, being silly and self entertaining himself. A few of my clothes were not spared either by his excitement, but he's learning :)) However Xmas tree was not harmed.

Currently he is in training for his basic commands and he is on his way of being a very behaved young "gentlepupps".
